Gimme at least one good reason
why this self-assault ain’t treason!

Confusion is the reason!
I don’t know what to attack!

Confusion is the reason!
I don’t know what to attack!
After we’ve taken
a fall, how best to cope with
the waves of feeling?
~
Just wave them good-bye.
Although they may rock us now,
they are on their way elsewhere.
When emotion takes
over and reason takes flight,
are we in for love or war?
~
In both love and war
reason always surrenders
to emotion’s whip.
What more can be said
by orators or poets
that hasn’t been said before?
~
As much can be said
as can be seen and be felt.
Thus is poetry’s power.
